Did you know that there is a fairy tower, just a few steps away from Letenske square. When you walk over there in the evening, just when it’s getting dusky, it feels like you are in a different time all together. When you walk in and start walking up and up and up and up the stairs as high as you can go, you will find a Tea Room. This is a place where friendly man Keemun Mao Feng fulfils his natural living and together with tasty tea and music creates a perfect place for a chat with friends or allows you to do some thinking.
I have asked Keemun Mao Feng to tell me something about tea and preparing it. At first he kindly refused, but after a while he shared the following text with me together with delicious Pai-mu-tan.
“What is Tea? That is the question – you will find the answer only if you take a sip. Tea is the questions and also the answer, it’s a whole circle, therefore it’s perfect in its self. Tea is awake while asleep. And as in to how to make tea...? No one knows, tea makes itself. Try to influence the taste and its affect. You will find that the result is always what it should be. Who makes tea? Circumstances of course, like fire, water, tea pot, time and a person. All these circumstances play equally important part so the tea becomes a real experience of presence”.
